$12! That's often a fraction of one month's membership. We'd love to make it cheaper (or free) but gyms require certified mail which costs more than regular postage. Plus we have to pay the post office for certified letters, the lawyers who write the letters and the developers who build the site.
Your letter will be sent on the next business day after your order is placed. As far as your membership, it depends on the gym. Some gyms will cancel your membership immediately, others will make you wait until the end of the month. We'll let you know what to expect when you choose your gym.
